CLOSE ENHANCED COMMODITIES FUND LIMITED

STATEMENT OF INVESTMENT POLICY

The Board of Close Enhanced Commodities Fund Limited notes the publication of
the Investment Entities (Listing Rules and Conduct of Business) Instrument 2003
and announces that it is the Company's investment policy to invest in a
portfolio of investments whose performance is based on the performance of a
notional portfolio of certain industrial and precious metals and energy-related
commodities. Accordingly, no more than 15 per cent. of the Company's gross
assets will be invested in other UK listed investment companies (including
investment trusts).
