                    CLOSE ENHANCED COMMODITIES FUND LIMITED

Close Enhanced Commodities Fund Limited announces that 1,600,000 Participating 
Shares have been issued pursuant to a placing at a price of 105.5 pence a share. 
The newly issued Participating Shares will rank pari passu with the existing 
Participating Shares with the result that the Company now have 35,300,000 
Participating Shares in issue.  The newly issued Participating Shares will be 
admitted to listing on the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to 
trading on the London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities at 8.00 am 
on 19 May 2005.
