In accordance with paragraph 15.3 of the Listing Rules, we hereby notify you on
behalf of the Company that, at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting of the
Company due to take place on 12 May 1999, the Company will submit to
shareholders a proposal for it to be generally authorised to make market
purchases of its own equity shares.  The circular to shareholders seeking the
said authority complies with paragraph 15.4 of the Listing Rules.
