DISPOSAL OF MIX 96, SUN FM AND MINORITY INTEREST IN THE WOLF
Capital Radio plc, the UK's leading commercial radio group, today announces
the sale of Bucks Broadcasting Limited and Sun FM Limited to Radio Investments
Limited as part of the Group's strategy to focus on large stations operating
in major metropolitan areas. In a separate transaction, Capital Radio's 30%
shareholding in The Wolf was sold to Forever Broadcasting plc on 8th February
2001. The net cash proceeds of the deals are #9.5 million.

Notes to Editors:
* Capital Radio previously owned a 63% holding in Bucks Broadcasting
Limited through its purchase of First Oxfordshire Radio Company Limited
which completed in May 2000. It recently acquired the outstanding 37%
stake in Bucks Broadcasting Limited, the consideration for which has been
set off against the consideration paid for the above transactions.
* Bucks Broadcasting Limited operates Aylesbury based station MIX 96.
* Capital Radio's 30% ownership of The Wolf in Wolverhampton was acquired
through its purchase of First Oxfordshire Radio Company Limited. The
consideration paid by Forever Broadcasting was #1.55 million.
* Sun FM Limited based in Sunderland was acquired as part of the Border
Television deal in May 2000.
