Charteris plc ("Charteris" or "the Company") 
 
 
Trading Update for the year ended 31 July 2009 
 
 
In our interim announcement issued on 7 April 2009, we noted that in view of 
prevailing economic conditions the Directors expected the Company to break even 
before exceptional items* in the second half. This continues to be the 
Directors' expectation. 
 
 
The Company's cash position at the year end was approximately GBP1.5m (31 Jan 
2009: GBP1.7m, 31 Jul 2008: GBP2.9m). 
 
 
Charteris expects to announce its results for the year to 31 July 2009 in early 
November.
