                  Charteris plc ("Charteris" or "the Company")

         Trading Update for the six-month period ended 31 January 2008

In my statement issued at our Annual General Meeting on 17 December 2007, I
noted that our service lines (Customer Centricity, Integrated Enterprise and
Infrastructure Optimisation) were continuing to drive significant new
project-based sales and that we had also experienced increased demand from
several key accounts.

I am pleased to say that this trend continues and that as a result we expect to
deliver a good performance in the first half, demonstrating progress in our
financial performance compared with the second half of FY07.

We have seen particularly good growth in the retail sector, primarily arising
from our Customer Centricity and Integrated Enterprise service lines. Retailers'
Christmas trading results spotlighted further major growth in on-line sales.
Charteris' multi-channel integrated business solutions are positioned at the
forefront of this revolution, driving on-line sales growth that is co-ordinated
with and complementary to trading through traditional sales channels.

Continued growth in key account relationships has been an important feature of
our activities in both the Government and the Financial Services markets.
Central to this has been demand for our well-established competencies in
business change and major programme management - with particular emphasis on
techniques to increase agility in creating and servicing customer demand, and in
improving operational efficiency.

Trading in the first half was enhanced by seasonal demand in the retail sector
and, whilst uncertainty currently exists in the economy, the progress made
during the period has provided good business momentum into the second half.

Charteris expects to announce its results for the six months to 31 January 2008
in mid-April.
