The Company has been notified today that further to the announcement
made on Friday 10th October in relation to companies within the
Mercury Asset Management Group, Merrill Lynch & Co Inc and its related
companies which are holding companies of Mercury Asset Management
Limited, now also have a notifiable interest in 16,680,783 Ordinary
shares representing 11.85 per cent of the issued share capital of
Bandt plc.
