In another step towards its integration with Lehman Brothers' (LEHMQ) brokerage operations, Barclays Capital said it launched Barclays Capital Live, a web-based portal for information and electronic trading.

Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital, a unit of Barclays PLC (BCS), each had their own web portals, as do most banks, but now the two have been combined.

"We have integrated the best of legacy Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital products to provide an offering which is unique in its depth and breadth across every asset class and every discipline," said Barclays Capital head of distribution Guglielmo Sartori di Borgoricco in a statement.

Specifically, the platform will combine the Lehman platform's research capability with Barclays Capital's multi-asset class electronic trading service BARX Fixed Income, as well as adding several new capabilities, the company said.

The new site will allow Barclays Capital clients access to research, indices, analytics, reporting tools, as well as electronic trading.

Barclay's bought the Lehman brokerage operations last fall.
