           WINS TOP GARDEN CENTRE CATERING CONTRACT
                               
Availeon  plc  is  pleased to announce  that  its  subsidiary,
Hudson  Rowe,  has  been awarded a major contract  by  Country
Gardens plc.

Hudson  Rowe  has  been granted a five year lease  by  Country
Gardens  for the cafi/restaurant at their newly opened  40,000
sq.ft  garden  centre at Harlestone Heath on the outskirts  of
Northampton and near the Althorp Estate. The Garden Centre  is
the  largest in Northamtonshire and is expected to attract  an
estimated 175,000 visitors per year.

Hudson Rowe have installed a 100 seater cafi/restaurant  which
is  designed  to allow for future expansion and  will  feature
their  new "Cafi Hudson" brand. The cafi/restaurant opened  on
26th   May 1999 and specialises in healthy, fresh food  and  a
wide range of coffees, teas and snacks. Turnover for the first
year is estimated to be approximately #250,000.

Country  Gardens is one of the leading garden centre retailers
in  the UK with 36 existing sites and four new sites are under
development. Tom Barrow of Knight Frank, agents on  behalf  of
Country  Gardens  for  all  concessions  and  the  letting  of
business space, commented:

us  with  their  involvement in a number of prestigious  sites
including the BMW Rover "Heritage Motor Centre" at Gaydon  and
The  Royal Pump Rooms at Leamington Spa. We are confident that

Harlestone Heath."

St James Park Cakehouse Update

The  demolition of the old Cakehouse at St James Park has now
been  completed and construction procurement is continuing  as
planned.  It  is anticipated that the building  programme  for
this facility will be 12 months.
