                                Energis and Atlantic on German DSL cooperation

Atlantic Telecom Group PLC ('Atlantic') today announces that is has signed a
framework agreement with Energis to provide high-speed wholesale SDSL services
in Germany. The agreement allows Energis to offer Atlantic's SDSL services to
its SME customers in Germany.

The framework agreement with Energis will add to the 8,650 potential European
DSL lines announced by Atlantic in its fourth quarter operating results in
April.

 Graham J Duncan, Executive Chairman of Atlantic Telecom, said:

"We are very pleased to have signed this agreement with Energis as it provides
a ringing endorsement of our German DSL services. This is a further sign that
the larger European carriers are choosing to offer wholesale DSL services
using Atlantic rather than building out their own networks, significantly
reducing the number of potential competitors in our markets. With the demand
for high speed services in Germany as great as ever, this reduction in
competition must be to our advantage.
