    ATH Resources Plc ("ATH" or "the Company")
    Holdings in Company

    The directors of ATH announce that on 10 October 2008, the Company received notification from AXA S.A. that on 9 October 2008, AXA
Framlington and AXA Investment Managers UK Limited together acquired a total of 25,000 Ordinary Shares of 0.5 pence each ("Ordinary Shares")
in the issued share capital of the Company.

    As a result of this transaction, AXA Framlington now holds 4,012,000 Ordinary Shares, representing 10.01% of the Company's issued share
capital and AXA Investment Managers UK Limited holds 12,500 Ordinary Shares, representing 0.03% of the Company's issued share capital. In
aggregate, AXA S.A. now holds 4,024,500 Ordinary Shares, representing 10.04% of the issued share capital of the Company.
