                  INDEPENDENT EXPERT REVIEWS FINANCIAL RESULTS

Anzon Energy Limited ("Anzon Energy") today announces that Deloitte Corporate
Finance Pty Limited ("Deloitte") has reviewed the financial results of Anzon
Energy for the year ended 31 December 2007 and the financial results of Nexus
Energy Limited ("Nexus") for the six months ended 31 December 2007, announced on
31 March 2008 and 14 March 2008 respectively.

Following this review, Deloitte has confirmed that these results have not
affected its conclusion that the proposed merger between Anzon Energy and Nexus,
to be implemented by Scheme of Arrangement between Anzon Energy and its
shareholders, is fair and reasonable and therefore in the best interests of the
shareholders of Anzon Energy.

In making this confirmation, Deloitte has not reviewed any other additional
information nor has it updated its report contained in Section 17 of the Scheme
Booklet dated 5 March 2008 in relation to the Scheme of Arrangement, which has
been dispatched to the shareholders of Anzon Energy.
