on uranium production and net income indicators of NAC Kazatomprom JSC

for 9 months of 2011

Production plans for 9 months of 2011 have been fully fulfilled.

Uranium production in the Republic of Kazakhstan made up 13,957 tU, which is 11% higher in comparison with the same period of the previous year.

The share of NAC Kazatomprom JSC in the total volume of uranium production in the Republic of Kazakhstan amounted to 7,978 tU.

Total income of NAC Kazatomprom JSC for 9 months of 2011 made up KZT 264.7 bln., which is 62% higher than in the corresponding period of 2010. Such income growth was caused by increase in sales of uranium products.

Net income for 9 months of 2011 was KZT 56.4 bln., which is 72% higher than that in the same period of the last year.

NAC Kazatomprom JSC is the national operator of the Republic of Kazakhstan for export of uranium and its compounds, rare metals, nuclear fuel for nuclear power plants, special purpose equipment, technologies and double-use materials. The main activities of the company are: geological exploration, uranium production, manufacture of nuclear fuel cycle products, reactor construction, nuclear power plants, production of construction materials, the electric energy sector, scientific support of production and social welfare and training of personnel.
