Publication of Final Terms

British Telecommunications plc announces today that it has successfully
completed the following issues of notes:

  * the issue of Euro750 million callable notes with a coupon of 5.25 per
    cent. maturing on 23 June 2014;

  * the issue of GBP500 million callable notes with a coupon of 6.625 per
    cent. maturing on 23 June 2017; and

  * the issue of GBP500 million callable notes with a coupon of 6.375 per
    cent. maturing on 23 June 2037.

The Joint Lead Managers for all of these note issues were Barclays Capital,
Deutsche Bank and The Royal Bank of Scotland.
