                           Grant of Sharesave Options

It is announced that on 10 December 2002 an option over 3,524 ordinary shares of
10p each was granted to Adrian Page under the South Staffordshire Group Plc
Sharesave Scheme. The option will be exercisable for a six month period from 1
February 2008 and the option price is #4.66.

Mr Page now holds options over 150,094 shares.
