Re: Commercial International Bank (Egypt) S.A.E.
            General Assembly Meetings


In Commercial International Bank's Ordinary and Extraordinary General
Assembly meetings held on Tuesday April 21st 1998 the following decisions were
taken:-

1.  To approve the LE 2.35 dividend pay-out to be distributed to shareholders
as of May 17th 1998.

2.  To postpone the decision to increase the issued and paid in capital from LE
500 million to LE 750 million for further deliberation. A final decision will
be taken within a period of three months.
