TIDEWAY ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD APPOINTMENT

Tideway's Chief Technical Officer, Roger Bailey, is joining the board of Bazalgette Tunnel Limited effective 2 August 2021. In addition, Mark Sneesby will be standing down as Chief Operating Officer and Director of Bazalgette Tunnel Limited at the end of September.

The changes reflect the progress of the project, which is now in the final phases of underground works with 5km of the 25km sewer tunnel left to construct.

Roger Bailey's appointment strengthens the board's commissioning and technical focus, as the project moves towards the completion and handover stages.

1. Tideway is the company delivering the Thames Tideway Tunnel, London's new "super sewer", which will prevent millions of tonnes of sewage entering the River Thames. Tideway is regulated by Ofwat.
