(OTCBB: VSYM), a weapons detection and access control provider, announced today that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued a Designation of the Company's ViewScan VS-1000 as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology under the regulations of the Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act of 2002 (the SAFETY Act). This Designation is a result of a detailed technical and financial review of the ViewScan VS-1000 technology and of View Systems, Inc. itself and provides the Company certain liability and risk management protections.
