VANCOUVER, British Columbia,
Sept. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/
-- Lori McClenahan, President of St. Elias Mines Ltd. (SLI –
TSX:V) (Frankfurt Exchange: EKL) (U.S. Clearing Symbol: SELSF)
("St. Elias" or the "Company") announced today that she and the
Company have filed a Petition in the Supreme Court of British Columbia looking to identify certain
anonymous individuals posting various comments on on-line bulletin
boards that the Company views as false and defamatory. By
means of this Court process, St. Elias and McClenahan are seeking
an Order that will compel disclosure of identifying information for
these anonymous individuals. This step is a necessary
precursor for defamation litigation.
"St. Elias encourages open and honest communications.
However, it will not sit by idly while anonymous persons spread
misinformation about the Company and its executives on-line" stated
Lori McClenahan. "This
misinformation is damaging to St. Elias. The Company can and
will take appropriate legal steps to address this."
