Solucorp's New Environmental Technology IFS Featured in Battery
& EV Technology WEST NYACK, N.Y., May 6 /PRNewswire/ --
Solucorp Industries Ltd. , a provider of advanced technology
solutions to the Remediation and Environmental industries
worldwide, announced today the Company's new environmental
technology, IFS (Integrated Fixation System), was featured in
Battery & EV Technology on April 2004 in the article entitled
"Product Binds Heavy Metals." An excerpt from the article follows:
"A new environmental technology can prevent toxic metals from
batteries and other products from leaching soils and water.
Solucorp Industries, Inc. has developed a technology called
Integrated Fixation Systems (IFS) that works with the company's
Molecular Bonding System (MBS(R)) so that chemical reagents that
chemically bind heavy metals in contaminated soil can now be
incorporated into lead acid and nickel cadmium batteries, as well
as other products at the time they are made." "The inclusion of IFS
in manufactured products, such as switches, batteries, filters,
computer parts or any item that contains heavy metals such as lead,
mercury and chromium, does not change the efficacy and use of these
products ... IFS releases the MBS once trigger occurs, such as
moisture from rain or coming in contact with groundwater. The
products automatically remediate themselves so that no metals will
migrate into the environment. IFS technology works by incorporating
MBS reagents in degradable plastics, degradable surface coatings
and various release systems to form a specific IFS product, such as
paint remover or special coating for metal-bearing products like
batteries and ammunitions. IFS technology retains MBS in a stable
dormant state during the working life of the product." Solucorp

article had the incorrect area code. The correct telephone number
of Solucorp headquarters is 845-623-2333. About Solucorp Industries
Ltd. SOLUCORP is one of the environmental industry's innovative
developers of superior metals remediation technologies. The Company
develops innovative technologies for the treatment and prevention
of hazardous heavy metals contaminated waste streams. Solucorp owns
two patents on its Molecular Bonding System (MBS(R)) technology,
has applied for several patents including bullet traps,
projectiles, paint strippers and filter material with its IFS
technology and has received a notice of allowance from the Patent
Trademark Office (PTO) for the main IFS patent application. The
effectiveness of the Company's patented MBS is acknowledged by its
successful completion of the U.S. EPA's Superfund Innovative
Technology Evaluation (SITE) Program. MBS has proven to cost
effectively and permanently remediate heavy metals contamination in
soils and industrial wastes. MBS has been successfully used
internationally in soil and other metals remediations as well as in
the Company's preventative technology IFS (Integrated Fixation
System). IFS delivers consumer product safety systems to
manufacturing institutions. IFS can be applied to a multitude of
hazardous pollutant sources that render them insoluble, and hence,
non-hazardous, at the end of a product's life cycle. Consumer
products targeted for IFS include auto and household batteries,
mercury switches, paint removers, electronic circuit boards and air
emission and paint booth filters. For additional company
