Seawright Holdings, Inc. (SWRI.OB)

Joel Sens, CEO of Seawright Holdings, Inc., reports that plans are underway to retain an industry leading beverage consulting firm to assist the company in finding a well-recognized craft brewer to utilize the famous Seawright Springs water in the production of its beer.

Sens references that there is a precedent of major brewers having interest in high-quality water source locations in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. In 2007, when Coors was looking for a location to establish an east coast brewery, it chose a site located about 25 miles from the Seawright Springs property. The reason for Coors selection of the site was for the high quality of the water in the area coupled with the ideal location which is within a one-day’s drive to nearly two thirds of the U.S. population. Coors has cited that the establishment of the east coast facility resulted in a $25 million annual distribution cost savings.

With the rapid growth of the craft brewery market, many brewers are seeking to establish new production facilities closer to their markets. Seawright Springs, with its ideal location and high quality spring water source expects to draw interest from several well-established craft brewers who are seeking an east coast production facility.

Seawright Holdings owns Seawright Springs, a natural spring flowing some of America's purest drinking water, located in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley on 144 acres of protected woodlands. The spring produces in excess of 1 million gallons of water a day and is one of the largest sources of natural spring water on the Eastern seaboard. These large water reserves are strategically located within a one-day drive to all of the major cities on the East Coast. According to Sens, Seawright could become a major supplier of high quality potable water to any of these major markets. The price of water is expected to rise exponentially in the next few years and we are pleased to own one of the very few untouched premier sites not only on the East Coast, but in the United States. Seawright Springs produces in excess of 400 million gallons of water annually. Water was first bottled and sold from this unique natural spring in 1890 and was marketed throughout the U.S. Prior to that, it was used by Native Americans who vouched for its healing qualities and by the early explorers and settlers in Virginia.
