Spanish oil-and-gas company Repsol SA (REP.MC) said late
Wednesday that it will propose appointing Ignacio Martin and Maria
del Carmen Ganyet to its board of directors at its annual general
meeting.
Mr. Martin was formerly executive chairman at Gamesa, which went
on to merge with Siemens Wind Power to create Siemens Gamesa
Renewable Energy SA (SGRE.MC). Mrs. Ganyet is corporate managing
director at Spain's Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (COL.MC).
If appointed, the candidates will replace the recently departed
Mario Fernandez and Artur Carulla, whose term is expiring. The
appointments will be voted on by shareholders at the annual general
meeting on May 11.
