PR Newswire (US)
In the news release, Narrowstep(TM) Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: NRWS)
Appoints Carolyn Wall as President, issued Monday, Oct. 31, by
Narrowstep Inc. over PR Newswire, we are advised by a
representative of the company that the headline should now read
"Narrowstep(TM) Inc. Appoints Carolyn Wall as President, North
America." Also, the first paragraph, first sentence, should read
"Narrowstep(TM) Inc., (OTC Bulletin Board: NRWS), the TV on the
Internet company, named veteran television and publishing
executive, Carolyn Wall, 63, as President, North America" rather
than, "Carolyn Wall, 63, as President" as originally issued
inadvertently. Complete, corrected release follows: LONDON and NEW
YORK, Oct. 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Narrowstep(TM) Inc.,
(OTC:NRWS) (BULLETIN BOARD: NRWS) , the TV on the Internet company,
named veteran television and publishing executive, Carolyn Wall,
63, as President, North America. Having held top leadership
positions at a number of the nation's most respected media
companies, Wall has extensive branding, business development and
senior management experience with some of the most respected media
properties. During her 11 years at News Corporation, Wall was
Publisher of New York magazine, Executive Vice President of Murdoch
Magazines, and Vice President/General Manager of New York
television station Fox 5. As Publisher of Newsweek, Wall led
strategic initiatives to develop and extend the brand. "Carolyn has
a reputation for establishing strong media brands that resonate
with consumers and the advertising community," said Iolo Jones,
Narrowstep CEO. "Throughout her 25+ years in the industry, she has
specialized in building start-ups and rebuilding brands. She also
has particular insight into repurposing content and an
understanding of developing successful revenue streams that go
beyond a reliance on traditional advertising. We have every
confidence that Carolyn will contribute to and execute the vision
laid out for Narrowstep and we look forward to working with her."
Prior to her tenure at Newsweek in 1998, Wall's distinguished
career includes a term as President of WBIS+TV, where she was
recruited to execute the vision of ITT and Dow Jones, creating New
York City's first new broadcast television station in 30 years.
WBIS+ was first with a hybrid programming premise: money by day,
sports at night. In addition, Wall served as President and CEO of
Cowles Business Media. Most recently she was a co-founder of
Branded Radio Networks, an entrepreneurial venture in retail radio.
"It is a very exciting time for consumers -- and the media industry
-- as new technologies offer new ways to create, deliver, and sell
content," said Wall. "I've seen technology and media products
claiming to reach highly targeted audiences, but TelVOS(TM),
Narrowstep's proprietary platform for digital content delivery, is
a superior, and proven, technology that positions Narrowstep well
to become the dominant company in the exploding market for
broadband television." About Narrowstep(TM) Inc. Narrowstep(TM)
