Infinite Group, Inc. (IGI) Rolls Out Communications Interoperability Governance Model

Business Wire
Infinite Group, Inc. (IMCI.OB) today announced the development and
implementation of a proprietary model for Communications
Interoperability Governance. IGI's Governance Model is designed to
facilitate communication standards between federal, state and local
first responders during an emergency event. The model provides a
comprehensive methodology for the creation of communication
governance rules in natural or manmade disasters. "Governing
communications during an emergency event has been the difficult
part of communications interoperability. Our approach is based on a
lifecycle of activities that provides a comprehensive solution for
disaster planning, response, and recovery. The model includes
training and validation," said Jim Frost, IGI's Chief Technology
Officer. "While the industry has been focused on building better
technology solutions, we concentrated on building a comprehensive
technology neutral Governance Model," said Frost. Michael Smith,
IGI's President and CEO, stated that "communications
interoperability is a multi-billion dollar business, and IGI is
well prepared to support federal, state, and local governments with
a disciplined governance solution that facilitates the development
of communications interoperability processes, allowing first
responders to do their jobs more quickly and efficiently. We intend
to offer our Governance Model to diverse federal, state and local
governments as one of IGI's core product offerings, initially in
locations such as the Gulf Coast which are particularly susceptible
to major natural disasters." IGI's qualifications in communications
interoperability governance include our work for the Department of
Homeland Security (DHS), where we developed a Program Management
Office for the DHS Wireless Management Office, including the
creation of governance processes and earned value management
standards for the DHS Integrated Wireless Network. IGI also
developed business governance processes for the DHS Business
Process Office. IGI has offices in Pittsford, New York, Vienna,
Virginia and Jackson, Mississippi. IGI provides business, program
management and information technology services and systems support
to government and commercial clients. Our work includes leading
edge operations supporting complex programs in advanced computing
environments (network services), wireless technology, human capital
services, financial services, enterprise architecture and earned
value management. We focus on aligning business processes with
technology for delivery of solutions meeting our clients' exact
needs. For more information on IGI, please visit our website at
