Business Wire
Indie Ranch Media, Inc. (the Company), (Pink Sheets: INDR)
announced that their wholly owned subsidiary Netmix Broadcasting
Network is sponsoring the 1st Annual Star Struck Event together
with Plurlife.com and DJTrance Productions to roll out the red
carpet in honor of music industry professionals and electronic DJs
worldwide dedicated to promoting a drug free music industry.
International superstar DJTrance, currently ranked as the #29
Trance/D&B DJ in the world, will make his first USA Appearance
since 2001, promoting his upcoming album, A State of Readiness,
and standing in support of Breastcancer.org and a Drug Free
America.
The event was conceived by the founder of Plurlife, Gabe Afana.
Plurlife.com is home to more than 650,000 members, and has rapidly
become a way of life, for kids and young adults across the world,
who live by the Plurlife motto of peace, love, unity, respect and
responsibility (P.L.U.R.). This movement is aimed at eliminating
the underground drugs, hatred, prejudices, and violence that has
increasingly affected the electronic dance club industry, and
bringing awareness and support to those who suffer from many of
lifes difficult challenges.
On February 21, 2009, more than 5,000 young adults are expected
to attend this free concert to be held at the Griffith Park
Observatory in Los Angeles, featuring international superstar DJ
DJTrance (Netherlands), and former Prince DJ artist and performer
DJ-SKY. Also performing are celebrity DJs Polywog, Hyphy
Crunk, Paul Ahi, Jeff Ryan, and many others who have come together
for this unifying event. The event will be broadcast live over
www.netmix.fm, the official Plurlife Station.
This is a day for everyone to come and enjoy a new way of life,
and hear some of the best DJs of our time. With artists and DJs
coming together from all over the world, the Music will be
absolutely inspiring. Set as a family picnic gathering, the event
is free to the public, supported entirely by corporate sponsorships
and donations, we are proud to be one of them, stated Netmix
Broadcasting President, Sparrow Marcioni.
Aside from the Music and the festivities, I believe this event
is most important for us as entertainers and performers to show OUR
support of young people today, who have stood against peer pressure
and other negative influences, but who have not only taken the
initiative to unite so many others towards keeping the dance club
and rave community scene about the Music, free from drugs and
violence, but who have found compassion within themselves to help
support breast cancer awareness. For me this is a day about them, a
day for the young people who stand in unity together, says
DJTrance.
