Twenty two people, including reporters, drove the vehicle a
total of over 140 laps around the super quarter mile track
(approximately 45 miles). The general consensus of opinion was that
the vehicle had exceptional performance including acceleration and
handling. Most of the drivers were inclined to push the vehicle
very hard to gauge its acceleration and performance on the tight
turns.
Three race circuit professionals also attended the event to
evaluate the electric car, all were impressed. Dan Root, a well
known builder of race cars, with over 20 years experience stated,
The GSPI electric car handled well on tight turns with good
acceleration. The car was easy to drive and very quiet. I was
impressed and it was a really pleasurable experience.
Several people, after experiencing the drive, stated that they
would immediately buy the vehicle if it was available. The company
also received several phone calls from interested potential
buyers.
The details concerning the assembly line production plans for a
similar type delivery vehicle are clearly outlined in the GSPI
press release dated April 3, 2009. The company plans to start
building an assembly facility within this year.
The GSPI electric vehicle will be exhibited at racetracks in
several states. The reason for the tour is to highlight the
emerging electric car industry and also for GSPI to decide within
the next 8 weeks where it will build its facility. Utah and
Kentucky, which are the leading candidate states, have offered
facilities to build the assembly line for this venture.
Our next event will take place in Corbin, Kentucky, on April 14
where several legislators have already agreed to attend including
the news media (details to be announced).
Mr. Joseph LaStella, President of Green Star Products, stated,
Green Star Products core business is still in the biorefinery
alternative fuel market and is presently constructing biorefinery
facilities at its home base in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. The electric
car production assembly plant will be located in the United States
and will be managed by Global Green Cars, Inc. Global Green Cars is
a U.S. and international consortium of automobile companies and
associated supply companies which includes Green Star Products as
an engineering and technology provider. (For further details see
