LONDON--DS Smith PLC (SMDS.LN), a supplier of recycled packaging
for consumer goods, said Thursday it has appointed Adrian Marsh
Group Finance Director, succeeding Steve Dryden whose decision to
leave the Company was announced in January.
MAIN FACTS:
-Mr. Marsh will join DS Smith from Tesco PLC (TSCO.LN) where he
has been the Group Director of Tax, Treasury and Corporate Finance
for the last three and a half years.
-Mr. Dryden, Group Finance Director, will stand down from the
Board and leave the Company June 28, following publication of the
Company's final results.
-David Matthews, Group Financial Controller, will perform the
role of Interim Group Finance Director; this appointment isn't a
Board appointment.
-Shares closed Wednesday at 242 pence valuing the company at
2.25 billion pounds.
