PARIS--French asset management firm Amundi said Wednesday it filed documents to the French market regulator for an initial public offering after its two shareholders Credit Agricole SA and Société Générale SA first announced a plan to list the shares of the company on the Paris market in June.

Created in 2010, Amundi is 80% owned by Crédit Agricole, with Société Générale owning the remainder.

The company, which manages 954 billion euros ($1.07 billion) on behalf of its customers, didn't say when it intends to carry out the IPO or what stake it intends to offer investors.
