Computer Services, Inc. (CSI) (OTCQX: CSVI), a provider of
end-to-end technology solutions that empower financial institutions
to remain competitive, compliant and profitable, today announced it
has been recognized by West Texas A&M University’s College of
Business as the first-ever recipient of its 2014 Employer of the
Year Award.
The inaugural list of Community Award Winners highlights alumni,
community ambassadors and corporate partners going above and beyond
to advance the mission of the College of Business at West Texas
A&M University. Based on recommendations from the College of
Business’ Faculty Development and Recognition Committee, CSI was
selected as the 2014 Employer of the Year as a result of its mature
internship program, significant track record for hiring College of
Business students and high degree of employee satisfaction among
its alumni working within CSI Meridian, one of the organization’s
core bank processing divisions.
“While our community partners do not actively seek recognition
for their efforts, the faculty, staff and administration want to
publically acknowledge the individuals and organizations that stand
out as exceptional supporters of the College of Business,” said Dr.
Neil Terry, dean and professor of economics for the College of
Business. “As the recipient of the 2014 Employer of the Year Award,
CSI is a true model employer with respect to how internship and
employment opportunities are handled, and we are extremely grateful
for their ongoing dedication to our students and university.”
Over the past year, CSI has debuted valuable technology
enhancements for financial institutions, heavily focusing on
providing new innovation in the fields of managed services, core
banking technology, regulatory compliance and several other key
solution segments in order to maintain consistent progression as a
company. The ongoing success and efforts of CSI Meridian, which is
primarily located in Amarillo, Texas, are supported by a talented
pool of employees, including 32 College of Business alumni, six of
which were formerly interns. In all, CSI Meridian currently boasts
51 West Texas A&M University alumni, and continues to look to
the university’s College of Business for intern and full-time
employee candidates.
“At CSI, our employees are our most valuable asset, so the
ability to partner with an outstanding academic institution like
West Texas A&M University has given us a competitive advantage
in assembling a highly skilled, creative workforce,” said Roger
McCoy, president and general manager of CSI Meridian. “The caliber
of students produced by the College of Business allows us to hire
the best and the brightest, and we are honored by this level of
recognition from the university.”
