COLUMBIA, S.C., March 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CMARK International, Inc. (Pink Sheets: CMIT), a leading provider of logistical and facility support to federal government institutions today announced that its revenues totaled over $15.5 mm in 2008, an increase of 61% over 2007. Bookings for the first two months of 2009 continue strong with an increase of over 22% from the same period of 2008. The company moved into 2009 with the largest backlog in the company's history. "The company is right on track with its sales plan to a variety of U.S. government agencies as well as government prime contractors. This increase in business reflects increasing infrastructure development as well as product development including general construction, modular structures, and food service equipment and furnishings," said Charles W. Jones, Jr., President and CEO of CMARK. "We feel the entire U.S. Government marketplace including the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of State along with its associated support activities offer a solid marketplace in this day and time and the global development of CMARK's infrastructure along with the development of a broad but cohesive product mix are continuing to strengthen our efforts. "We are further increasing and refining our resources in pursuing this effort including attention to engineering and sales staffing, as well as increasing joint efforts with key strategic allies and suppliers." Some of the significant milestones during the past year have been the establishment of a Department of Defense Mentor-Protege program with EMCOR Group, Inc., the opening a field support facility in Kuwait City, Kuwait for its projects in Middle East including Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait, and a stronger emphasis on projects with the Veterans Administration. With the current backlog on hand and a stronger focus on the current U.S. government budget, the impact of the stimulus plan, and efforts involving DOD projects in Kuwait and Afghanistan, we should carry this significant momentum into the remainder of 2009.
