Thomas J. Menning, C.E.O., is pleased to announce the completion
of First American Silver Corp.’s (OTCBB: FASV) initial drill
campaign on its Mount Jackson gold and silver prospect.
Using the contract services of DeLong Drilling out of
Winnemucca, Nev., the campaign completed five of the six holes
originally planned and reached a total of 3,100 feet. All samples
have been collected and transported to Inspectorate Labs in Reno,
Nev. for assaying.
“We will review all of the data including the drill results and
make a decision as to whether or not to pursue a fully compliant
Canadian National Instrument 43-101,” said Menning. “This
independent appraisal and evaluation of Mount Jackson will qualify
First American for other exchange opportunities around the
world.”
Mount Jackson is located in Esmeralda County to the south of the
historic town of Goldfield, Nev. in an under-explored portion of
the prolific Walker Lane Belt. Mineralization here is hosted in
sedimentary rocks of the Lower Cambrian Harkness formation and
tends to be disseminated and relatively widespread.
