All Nippon Airways Co. (9202.TO) will have seven Boeing 787
Dreamliners in its fleet by the end of December 2011, the airline's
president Shinichiro Ito said Wednesday at a press conference to
mark the first passenger flight of the long-delayed aircraft.
The Japanese airline is the first customer to take possession of
the new-generation aircraft. ANA received its first Dreamliner last
month, and currently has two in its fleet.
In August, the company said it would have 12 Dreamliners in its
fleet by the end of March. These will be followed by another eight
in the next fiscal year through March 2013.
The airline has ordered a total of 55 of the aircraft.
