MONTREAL, Aug. 9, 2011 /CNW/ -- MONTREAL, Aug. 9, 2011 /CNW Telbec/
- PARTA DIALOGUE INC. ("Parta") (TSX-V: PAD) is pleased to announce
the launch of "Forumschiste.com", a social media platform that
allows the public and industry to trade questions and points of
view on shale gas exploration in Quebec (French only). Since the
forum recently went live, it has attracted interest from a wide
range of stakeholders and initiated a transparent dialogue about
shale gas development in Quebec. Its Facebook page has already
drawn a following of more than 550 members. This project is funded
by the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers. It creates an
easily accessible forum where the public can voice concerns about
shale gas exploration and receive concrete answers from shale gas
industry representatives, academics and environmentalists. "We hope
this forum will be a valuable source for people seeking information
about shale gas," said Dave Collyer, president of the Canadian
Association of Petroleum Producers. "It is reasonable for people to
have questions and concerns, especially in jurisdictions without a
history of upstream natural gas activity. This forum will allow
people to exchange and access a variety of information so they can
form their own opinions." Using the latest approaches in social
media strategy, including integration of a Facebook page, Youtube
channel, Twitter feeds and a Dynamic Archive Platform,
Forumschiste.com aims to make it as easy as possible for people to
ask questions and contribute text, video and image content to the
dialogue from wherever they spend their time online. "Social Media
opens the door to citizen involvement in public dialogue like never
before," said Paul Allard, CEO of Parta Dialogue Inc. "On an issue
as important and complex as shale gas development, this is a unique
opportunity for industry and the public to reach a common
understanding through an ongoing exchange of views, however heated
the exchanges may get." Forumschiste allows for anyone to publish
questions or viewpoints online as long as they are in accordance
with a transparent Content Policy (available here:
www.forumschiste.com/guide-participation.html). Site moderators
must adhere to a commitment to neutrality in accordance with their
Moderation Charter, published here:
www.forumschiste.com/static/chart. All viewpoints on shale gas must
be given equal time and importance on the site. About PARTA
