William A. Rand, of #2200 - 885 West Georgia Street Vancouver, British Columbia,
V6C 3E8, today acquired direct or indirect ownership of 7,000,000 common shares
of New West Energy Services Inc. (the "Issuer") (TSX VENTURE:NWE) for aggregate
cash consideration of $350,000 (the "Acquisition") by way of a private purchase
and sale. Pursuant to the Acquisition, Mr. Rand acquired approximately 7.6% of
the Issuer's then issued and outstanding common shares.


Mr. Rand now owns and controls, directly or indirectly, 14,377,070 common shares
of the Issuer, representing approximately 15.7% of the Issuer's issued and
outstanding common shares.


This Acquisition was made for investment purposes and Mr. Rand may from time to
time increase or decrease his investments in the Issuer depending on market
conditions or any other relevant factor.
