MPL Communications Inc. (TSX VENTURE: MPZ) announces that the audit of its 2009 financial statements has taken longer than initially expected, with the result that MPL will not meet the April 30 filing deadline for its financial statements and the related management's discussion and analysis and CEO and CFO certifications. MPL anticipates that the filing will occur by May 21, 2010.
