KELOWNA, BC,
Nov. 8, 2013 /CNW/ - Cantex Mine
Development Corp. (CD : TSXV) ("Cantex" or the "Company") is
pleased to report the geochem results for 143 soil-talus samples
that were recently collected on lines parallel to the original
sample line of highly anomalous gold-arsenic-antimony. These
anomalous results from the Company's North Rackla claim block were
reported in the news release dated October
3, 2013. Analyses have now been received which confirm the
validity of the original highly anomalous gold-arsenic-antimony
results have also been received.
Each of the 143 composite soil-talus samples was
collected along the parallel lines in the same manner as the
original composite samples - each sample comprising five sites each
about five meters apart which in total weigh approximately 1.5
kg. However, due to the onset of winter, these samples were
collected from frozen ground that was covered in about 30 cm of
snow. It is important to note that samples along the original
highly anomalous line were collected in the summer time with no
snow cover. With these types of samples, it is important to find
sites that contain abundant talus-fines. While such sites are
common, in winter conditions the sites were not easily
located. Therefore, the infill samples tend to contain
abundant amounts of ice, organics and alpine glacial clay, instead
of the desired talus-fines, which diminishes the quality of the
sample.
As a consequence, only 14 of 143 samples
collected under the snow cover, were weakly to strongly anomalous
in gold +/- arsenic +/- antimony. One of these 14 samples
returned the highest gold result of the 5,123 soil-talus results
received from the North Rackla project to date. In fact, this
composite result (also highly anomalous in arsenic and antimony) is
4.5 times more anomalous in gold than the next highest composite
soil-talus gold result.
The Company awaits the results of an additional
6,900 composite soil-talus samples from the North Rackla claim
group and another 6,763 soil-talus samples from the Mt. Good claim
group that are still in the process of being prepared and analyzed.
These results will be reported when received.
It is the Company's intention to resample the
infill lines from which 143 soil-talus samples were collected in
the coming spring, as soon as the snow melts.
