ANI Animas Resources Ltd.

Animas Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: ANI) Animas Resources is pleased to announce that it has agreed to complete a non-brokered private placement of 5,000,000 units (a "Units") at $0.20 per Unit for gross proceeds of $1 million, subject to acceptance by the TSX Venture Exchange. Each Unit is comprised of one common share and one-half of one non-transferable common share purchase warrant. Each warrant entitles the holder to purchase one additional common share for a period of 24 months at a price of $0.30 per common share.

The financing will be taken up by a group of long term supporters and insiders of Animas. Insiders of Animas will be participating for approximately 35% of the placement. The securities will have a four-month hold from the date of closing.

The financing proceeds will be used for mineral exploration on the Kinsley Mountain property in Nevada, for advancing the Santa Gertrudis gold project in Mexico, and for general corporate purposes. Finder's fees of 7% cash and 7% warrants may be paid on a portion of these offerings.
