MONTRÉAL, Sept. 9, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Quebecor and TVA Sports are proud to be associated with the Québec City and Montréal Grands Prix Cyclistes again this year as major sponsor and official broadcaster. The sixth edition of the cycling events will be held on September 11 in Québec City and September 13 in Montréal. TVA Sports will carry both events live and in full. Twenty-one teams, including Canada's national team, will compete in the electrifying world-class events, the only North American stops on the UCI WorldTour.

"Quebecor is thrilled to be part of such high-calibre sporting events, featuring elite cyclists competing on some of the most spectacular tracks on the international circuit," said Benoit Robert, President and CEO of Quebecor Group Sports & Entertainment. "The world's best racers will be here, including Québec's own Guillaume Boivin, the Canadian champion of Canada's national team, and Hugo Houle of the UCI team AG2R La Mondiale. They are a great inspiration for our young athletes."

"TVA Sports is the exclusive broadcaster of the Québec City and Montréal Grands Prix Cyclistes and we are very pleased to be able to bring our viewers these major international events, which are broadcast in more than 130 countries around the world," said Serge Fortin, Vice President, TVA Sports. "We will be at the starting line and along the entire route to capture the exciting performances of these world champions and provide full coverage of the top-notch cycling events."

In keeping with its longstanding commitment to sport, Quebecor is supporting the Québec City and Montréal Grands Prix Cyclistes with a large-scale promotional campaign in its media outlets. Quebecor is also the proud sponsor of the Garneau-Quebecor pro team, which competes on the UCI Continental tour.
