PR Newswire (US)
CHICAGO, Feb. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XA, Inc., (XA) (OTC BB:
XAIN.OB), a major national event marketing firm that serves many
Fortune 500 companies, reports that its wholly owned subsidiary,
The Experiential Agency, Inc., was selected by The 900 Shops, as
the event production agency for their Around the Shops in 900 Ways,
an event for SOAR (Streeterville Organization of Active Residents).
The event took place at The 900 Shops in Chicago, IL on Wednesday,
February 13th. As the production team of record, XA through its
wholly owned subsidiary, The Experiential Agency, Inc., in
conjunction with The 900 Shops, developed and designed concepts and
managed all aspects of the event to create a highly stylized and
integrated program. In attendance were 250 members of SOAR, a 33
year-old non-profit volunteer organization whose motto is "Working
to Keep Streeterville a Neighborhood." Guests were guided through
the shops with a "passport." In each store, guests witnessed
merchandise demonstrations (such as cooking demos or instructions
on how to care for down comforters). After the demonstration, store
representatives stamped guests' passports, and a fully-stamped
passport qualified guests for a raffle package worth $1,000.
Outside each shop that participated in "Around the Shops in 900
Ways," buffet stations and bars provided hors d'oeuvres and
refreshments from J & L Catering. Lavish floral arrangements
from Alice's Garden provided decorative accents. Joe Wagner, CEO of
XA, states, "XA has a long-standing relationship with the 900
Shops. It has been a privilege for us to participate in keeping the
900 Shops on the forefront of Chicago's luxury shopping market and
to produce events which ensure that the Shops are exposed to their
targeted shoppers." Marketers spent an average of $685,598 on
events in 2006, according to PROMO's 2007 Marketer Trends survey.
More than a third planned to increase their budgets this year and
less than a tenth expected to lower them. More than a fourth cited
events as one of the three promotional strategies on which they
spent the most money. (Source: PROMO Magazine, September 2007)
