Passenger traffic
January traffic for Aéroports de Paris (Paris:ADP) (Pink
Sheets:AEOPF) was almost stable –just 0.1% below the figures for
January 2009– with 5.9 million passengers divided up between
4.1 million for Paris-Charles de Gaulle (+1.1%) and 1.8
million for Paris-Orly (-2.9%). Traffic this January was marked in
particular by an air traffic controller (DGAC) strike and several
snowfalls.
- International traffic (excluding
Europe) increased by 1.9%. Traffic with Africa rose by 2.2%.
Traffic with North America dropped by 1.6%. Traffic on the Latin
American, Middle Eastern and Asian routes grew respectively by
3.1%, 8.7% and 0.7%.
- Traffic with Europe (excluding
France) stood at -0.5%. Traffic within the Schengen area rose by
0.6%, while traffic with Great Britain and Ireland dropped by
8.1%.
- Domestic traffic fell by
2.8%.
- The number of connecting
passengers dropped by 1.4% in January 2010 compared with January
2009, resulting in a connecting rate of 26.8% (against 27.3% in
January 2009).

Aircraft movements
The number of aircraft movements dropped by 5.6% in January 2010
year on year (with -5.7% in Paris-Charles de Gaulle and -5.4% in
Paris-Orly). Passenger load factor rose to 69.6%, compared with
66.9% in January 2009.
