Item 8.01

Other Events.

On March 2, 2010, Xerium Technologies, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that it and certain of its direct and indirect subsidiaries have commenced the solicitation of votes from the Company’s lenders and parties to certain swap termination agreements in support of a joint prepackaged plan of reorganization (the “Plan”) under Chapter 11 of the U.S. bankruptcy code. The press release announcing the solicitation is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.

This Current Report on Form 8-K is not a solicitation to accept or reject the proposed Plan referred to herein or an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy any securities of the Company. Any solicitation or offer to sell will be made pursuant to and in accordance with the solicitation and disclosure statement distributed to the Company’s lenders under its senior secured credit facility and the parties to certain swap termination agreements.
