U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Awards Contract to SRA Company
Wins Potential Five-Year Contract to Provide Information Technology
Engineering Services FAIRFAX, Va., Oct. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/
-- SRA International, Inc. (NYSE:SRX), a leading provider of
information technology (IT) services and solutions to federal
government organizations, announced today that it has been awarded
a competitive contract by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
to provide comprehensive IT engineering services. The Firebird
Infrastructure Technology Services (FITS) performance-based
contract, awarded under the General Services Administration Federal
Supply Schedule, has an estimated value of $46.8 million over five
years if all options are exercised. Under this contract, SRA will
be the single systems integrator providing enterprise-wide
engineering services to help DEA sustain and modernize its IT
infrastructure. The objective of FITS is to quickly, efficiently,
effectively, and economically provide the standard IT office
automation platform and infrastructure to support DEA employees in
meeting DEA's mission. The core DEA local-area network/wide-area
network supports over 15,000 users at domestic sites and 76 foreign
locations. DEA personnel use this infrastructure to access
mission-critical business applications and information. SRA
services will include program management, systems engineering and
integration, and analysis and implementation of emerging
technologies. The SRA team includes Sabre Systems, Inc.; Subsystem
