GSA Awards $341M Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Task Order to SRA Company Wins Five-Year Task Order to Provide Enterprise-Wide Information Technology Services FAIRFAX, Va., Sept. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SRA International, Inc. (NYSE:SRX), a leading provider of information technology (IT) services and solutions to federal government organizations, announced today that it has been awarded a competitive task order by the U.S. General Services Administration's (GSA's) Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM). SRA will provide comprehensive enterprise-wide IT services to support the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) technology infrastructure. The performance-based task order, awarded under the Millennia contract, has an estimated value of $341 million over five years if all options are exercised. Congress created the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in 1933 to restore public confidence in the nation's banking system. The FDIC insures deposits at the nation's 9,079 banks and savings associations and it promotes the safety and soundness of these institutions by identifying, monitoring and addressing risks to which they are exposed. The FDIC receives no federal tax dollars -- insured financial institutions fund its operations. Under this contract, which consolidates 36 existing contracts, SRA will be the single systems integrator providing IT infrastructure support services to FDIC's Division of Information Resources Management. SRA services will include program management; client and help desk support; data center operations and local area network administration; security operations and support; systems engineering and integration; and equipment distribution. The SRA team includes Unisys Corporation and Northrop Grumman Corporation. "FDIC has a critical mission and technology plays a vital role fulfilling it," said SRA Chairman and CEO Ernst Volgenau. "The SRA team has extensive experience providing high quality IT infrastructure support to clients across the federal government." Kathleen Adams, Senior Vice President and head of the SRA team said, "We will use our expertise to develop a vision and approach based on a thorough analysis of FDIC's current environment. This will capitalize on existing investments while leveraging technology to achieve greater efficiencies and cost savings." GSA FEDSIM is a program under the Federal Technology Service providing over $1.4 billion per year in large, complex project support to federal agencies. Millennia is a $25 billion multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract offering multi-year IT services to federal agencies worldwide. About SRA International, Inc.
