Jill Yacone Hopper Joins SRA Vice President, Government Relations to Direct Legislative Policy Initiatives FAIRFAX, Va., April 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SRA International, Inc. , a leading provider of information technology services and solutions to U.S. federal government organizations, announced that Jill Yacone Hopper has joined the Company as Vice President, Government Relations. She will provide leadership and assist in the formation of corporate strategy, including all aspects of government relations, and will advise corporate leaders regarding legislative policy initiatives. Hopper will serve as a liaison to the executive and legislative branches of the U.S. federal government and will direct and promote legislative initiatives and policies in the interest of SRA. Hopper has over 20 years of government affairs experience at the federal level. She most recently served as Battelle's Director of Government Relations, responsible for communicating and representing the company's national security, homeland security, and NASA programs before the U.S. Congress. Prior to joining Battelle, Hopper served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Legislative Affairs in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, where she oversaw the House of Representatives for Secretary William S. Cohen. As a registered lobbyist for United Technologies Corporation from 1992 to 1999, Hopper communicated the company's defense and space programs to the Congress. She also staffed several appropriations subcommittees, including the subcommittee on defense, during tenures with Congressmen Bernard J. Dwyer and Joseph D. Early.
