The Shaw Group Inc. (NYSE:SGR) today announced it will change
its ticker symbol on the New York Stock Exchange from “SGR” to
“SHAW,” effective at the start of trading on Aug. 21, 2009. The
change of the ticker symbol is a seamless process managed by the

unaffected.

recognition and links our stock listing with our identity,” said
J.M. Bernhard Jr., chairman, president and chief executive officer
of Shaw. “The new symbol helps our clients and shareholders better
identify our stock and our company.”
