STREET MOVES: Morgan Stanley Hires Oppenheimer, Commonwealth Brokers

Brokerage joint venture Morgan Stanley Smith Barney recently
hired financial advisers from Oppenheimer Holdings Inc. (OPY) and
independent broker-dealer Commonwealth Equity Services, Inc.
On Oct. 19, George Yao and Andrew Rogers joined Morgan Stanley
Smith Barney's Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. office. The team together
generated $2.3 million in fees and commissions and reports to
Complex Manager Bonnie Mitten.
Before joining Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Yao and Rogers each
worked at Oppenheimer for more than three years, according to
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records.
Additionally, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney added Jonathan Price
to its Wellesley, Mass. office from Commonwealth. Price, who
reports to Complex Manager David Swartz, had $1.1 million in annual
production and managed $153 million in client assets.
Price worked at Commonwealth for over 22 years, regulatory
records show.
Oppenheimer couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
Commonwealth didn't respond to a request for comment.
