Oppenheimer & Co. has hired Douglas Damrow, former manager of UBS AG's (UBS) Americas wealth-management division, to help expand its brokerage business in the Chicago area, Reuters reports Thursday.

Damrow will be the assistant manager of the Oppenheimer Holdings Inc. (OPY) subsidiary's only wealth-management office in Chicago and will lead the effort to open other branches in the area, an Oppenheimer spokesman said. He declined to say how many branches Oppenheimer & Co. plans to open.
