O-I Appoints Chief Financial Officer TOLEDO, Ohio, March 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Owens-Illinois, Inc., (NYSE:OI) today announced that Edward C. White has been named chief financial officer, succeeding Thomas L. Young. "We are pleased to have an executive with Ed's breadth and experience ready to assume this key leadership role in the firm. Ed joined O-I in 1973 and has held several key assignments in the financial area including corporate controller and senior vice president of finance and administration as well as roles in commercial and operational functions. In 1999, Ed was elected a corporate officer of the Company and in 2003 was promoted to senior vice president of the Company. Most recently, Ed served as director of sales and marketing for Europe, after a period of leadership on the European Integration team.
