Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world's largest wholesale
technology distributor and a global leader in IT supply-chain,
mobile device lifecycle services and logistics solutions, today
announced that the company will carry and sell leading Samsung
Mobile smartphone and tablet accessory products in the United
States, further solidifying Ingram Micro Mobility's leading
position in the rapidly growing and highly strategic mobility
market.
Samsung Mobile's growing accessory portfolio for the Galaxy S®,
Galaxy Note® and Galaxy Tab® family of products will be made
available. This includes traditional mobile accessories such as
flip covers, protective covers, travel and vehicle chargers,
portable battery packs and Bluetooth headsets.
"Mobility is one of Ingram Micro's key platforms for growth and
expanded profitability," said Bashar Nejdawi, president, Ingram
Micro Mobility North America. "We are committed to aligning our
industry-leading portfolio of products and solutions with the most
innovative brands around the globe, and Samsung Mobile has clearly
established itself as a leader in this important market. We are
excited to expand our long-standing relationship to help make
Samsung Mobile's accessory product suite available through Ingram
Micro's U.S. distribution infrastructure."
The accessories will be available through Ingram Micro
Mobility's network of small-to-medium businesses,
business-to-business and enterprise channels, as well as consumer
and retail-focused indirect carrier dealer agents. In addition,
Ingram Micro Mobility will initiate marketing efforts -- including
sales rep training and product education as well as direct
marketing initiatives to the VAR and indirect dealer channels -- to
further drive sales through Samsung authorized resellers. Products
are now nationally available in authorized reseller stores.
In addition to mobile accessories, Ingram Micro supports other
Samsung divisions such as consumer electronics, pro/AV digital
signage and direct and commercial markets. For more information on
