Gouda - Imtech N.V. (IM-AE, technical services provider in and outside Europe) announces that it has recently received new orders with a value of approximately 41 million euro for export - out of the Netherlands - of technological for solutions in the international oil and gas industry.

René van der Bruggen, CEO Imtech: 'Imtech is performing well in the international oil and gas market. The strategic focus on exporting high-tech electronic solutions and power electronics (combination of power electronics and high voltage solutions) is bearing fruit. This enables Imtech to offer added value at the cutting-edge of energy technology, industrial automation and electronics. As well as various branches in the Netherlands, Imtech has branches in Gabon, Nigeria and Brunei. The new orders are evidence of a considerable increase in the international oil and gas activities.'

Renovation at heart of Brunei oil terminal
Following a pre-qualification process and the establishment of Imtech Brunei, an Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC) contract has been won to replace the instrumentation and electronic infrastructure in an existing oil terminal in Brunei. A high-tech control room is being realized as well as the replacement of various measurement technologies, cabling and control systems. This means that Imtech is renovating the heart of the terminal. Imtech specialises in renewing existing technological infrastructures without requiring a shutdown, which means that oil winning can continue normally.

Expansion of oil production in Gabon
Imtech recently won a series of orders to expand the technical infrastructure for an oil production location in Gabon. As the plant is in the middle of the jungle, an approach was chosen that is comparable to that of an offshore project. All Imtech solutions will be realised in-house in specific prefabricated high-tech containers and will be fully-tested prior to shipping. In Coevorden in the Netherlands, Imtech has a well-provisioned production and testing hall with strict test procedures that guarantee functionality. Once at the destination in Gabon, these prefabricated containers are connected to the existing oil production infrastructure, after which the system is switched on automatically.

Export of laboratory solutions and energy-efficient drying solutions
Imtech is supplying laboratory applications for testing heavy oil to lighter oil products (FFC, Fluid Catalytic Cracking), including recently to India, Abu Dhabi and the USA. Imtech also delivers more or less unique energy-efficient drying solutions in the international market for food, feed and minerals. There is growth here too, including recent sizeable contracts for Huntsman in France.

Export of analysis houses for chemical plants
Imtech offers high-tech solutions to replace existing analysis labs in chemical plants. This involves taking measurements, partly online, including TOC (Total Organic Carbon) and oxygen levels. The export of this specific Imtech technology solutions is also increasing.
